Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Wynr mobile application or website (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.

2. About Wynr

Wynr is an independent, community-driven school rugby prediction and results platform. Users may predict fixtures, submit match results, view leaderboards, and access rugby statistics.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Wynr. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. User Accounts

• 4.1 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
• 4.2 You agree to provide accurate and current information.
• 4.3 You may only create one account unless authorised by Wynr.

5. Predictions & Scoring

Users predict match winners and winning margins. Points are awarded based on accuracy. The maximum score per fixture is 5 points.

Predictions may be edited until kickoff. Once a match starts, predictions are locked. Missing a fixture results in zero points for that match.

6. Profiled Fixtures

From time to time, Wynr may designate certain fixtures as Profiled Fixtures. These fixtures are clearly distinguishable in the App by a gold-highlighted card.

• Profiled Fixtures are visible to all users, regardless of selected school.
• Predictions (or failure to predict) for Profiled Fixtures affect only the Global Leaderboard.
• Profiled Fixtures do not impact School Leaderboards or Community/Type Leaderboards.

Wynr reserves the right to select, modify, or remove Profiled Fixtures at its discretion.

7. Leaderboards

The Global Leaderboard ranks players using a percentage-based scoring system:

Score % = Total Points ÷ (Eligible Fixtures × 5) × 100

This ensures fairness even when schools have different numbers of fixtures and rewards consistent participation.

8. Results Submissions & Verification

Wynr allows users to submit school rugby match results.

• Only one result submission per user per fixture is permitted.
• Results are marked as Verified when matching submissions exceed conflicting submissions.
• Results with insufficient confirmation may remain Unverified.

Wynr reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove inaccurate or malicious submissions. Users who repeatedly submit incorrect information may be suspended or blocked.

9. Acceptable Use

• 9.1 Do not use the App for unlawful purposes.
• 9.2 Do not submit false or harmful content.
• 9.3 Do not disrupt or exploit the App.
• 9.4 No automated bots without permission.

10. Suspension & Termination

Wynr may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or compromise platform integrity.

11. Disclaimers

• 11.1 The App is provided “as is”.
• 11.2 Sports data may be inaccurate or delayed.
• 11.3 Wynr does not provide betting or gambling advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Wynr is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Privacy & Data Policy

Wynr processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

• Email address
• Name or nickname
• School affiliation
• Predictions and activity data
• Device and usage data

Data is used solely to operate the App, calculate leaderboards, display results, communicate updates, and improve platform performance. Wynr does not sell personal data.

Users may delete their account and related information via the Delete Account option in the mobile app Profile page.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting admin@wynr.co.za.

User Badges & Visual Indicators

Wynr may display visual indicators, badges, icons, or background styling on profiles or leaderboard entries for recognition or administrative purposes.

• Assigned solely by Wynr administrators
• Do not represent official sporting honours or team selection
• Do not imply affiliation with governing bodies or unions
• Carry no monetary or competitive prize value unless stated

Wynr reserves the right to modify or remove such indicators at any time. Users may request removal via support@wynr.co.za.

No Official Endorsement

Wynr is an independent platform. Any school names, emblems, colours, terminology, or rugby-related symbols are used for identification and community recognition only and do not imply official endorsement.

Cookie & Tracking Policy

Wynr uses cookies or similar technologies to maintain sessions, improve security, and enhance reliability.

Disabling cookies may limit certain features.
